1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using ComfoBuddyRental (the "Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform. These terms apply to all users — tenants, property owners, and Buddy inspectors.

2. Platform Description

ComfoBuddyRental is a rental marketplace that connects tenants seeking accommodation with property owners, facilitated by trained Buddy inspectors who conduct physical property verifications. ComfoBuddyRental is a technology platform and is not a party to any rental agreement between tenants and owners.

3. User Accounts

• You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. • You must provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration. • One person may not maintain more than one account. • ComfoBuddyRental reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

4. KYC and Verification

• Tenants are required to complete KYC verification before finalising a booking. • You must submit genuine identity documents. Submission of fake or altered documents is a criminal offence. • ComfoBuddyRental reserves the right to reject KYC submissions that cannot be verified. • Verified status does not guarantee a rental agreement — it only signals identity confirmation.

5. Bookings and Payments

• All rent payments processed through ComfoBuddyRental are subject to a service fee disclosed at checkout. • ComfoBuddyRental uses Razorpay for payment processing. Your payment data is handled per Razorpay's security standards. • Refunds are governed by the Refund Policy agreed upon at the time of booking. • ComfoBuddyRental is not liable for disputes arising from offline transactions made outside the platform.

6. Prohibited Conduct

Users must not: • Post false, misleading, or fraudulent listings or profiles. • Harass, threaten, or discriminate against other users. • Use the platform to conduct illegal activities. • Attempt to circumvent the platform to avoid service fees. • Scrape, copy, or redistribute platform content without permission. • Upload malware, viruses, or disruptive code.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on ComfoBuddyRental — including logos, design, text, and software — is the intellectual property of ComfoBuddy Technologies Pvt. Ltd. Users may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without written permission.

8. Limitation of Liability

ComfoBuddyRental provides the platform on an "as is" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law: • ComfoBuddyRental is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. • ComfoBuddyRental's total liability shall not exceed the service fees paid by you in the 3 months preceding the claim. • ComfoBuddyRental does not guarantee the accuracy of listing information provided by owners.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka.

10. Changes to Terms

ComfoBuddyRental may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or platform notification 30 days in advance. Continued use of the platform after changes become effective constitutes acceptance.
