These are essential and cannot be disabled without logging you out. • **Session Continuity**: Remembering which role (Tenant, Owner, Buddy) you selected and your modal preferences. • **Analytics**: Understanding how users navigate the platform so we can improve it. Analytics cookies collect anonymised data only. • **Preferences**: Remembering UI settings like your selected city or sort order. • **Security**: Detecting unusual sign-in patterns and protecting against CSRF attacks.
3. Types of Cookies We Use
**Essential Cookies** (cannot be disabled) These are required for the platform to function. They handle authentication tokens, CSRF protection, and your current session state. **Analytics Cookies** (can be opted out) We use privacy-respecting analytics to track page views and feature usage. No personally identifiable information is sent to analytics providers. **Preference Cookies** (can be cleared) These remember your UI preferences such as your last selected city or dashboard layout. Clearing them resets your preferences to defaults.

Some features on ComfoBuddyRental involve third-party services that may set their own cookies: • **Razorpay** — payment processing. See Razorpay's cookie policy for details. • **Google Sign-In (GIS)** — if you use Google OAuth. Google may set cookies per its privacy policy. • **Facebook Login** — if you use Facebook OAuth. Facebook may set cookies per its data policy. ComfoBuddyRental does not control third-party cookies and is not responsible for the privacy practices of these services.
5. Managing Cookies

We recommend only disabling non-essential cookies.
6. Cookie Retention
• **Session cookies** expire when you close your browser tab. • **Authentication cookies** expire after 7 days of inactivity (or immediately on logout). • **Analytics cookies** are retained for up to 12 months before being anonymised. • **Preference cookies** are retained until you clear your browser storage or change your preferences.
7. Do Not Track
ComfoBuddyRental respects the Do Not Track (DNT) browser signal. When DNT is enabled, we disable non-essential analytics cookies for your session. Essential cookies required for authentication and security are not affected by DNT.

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via a banner on the platform or via email at least 30 days before the change takes effect.
